Jamie Bright Forman has spent the last decade booking segments for network news and syndicated talk shows. After eight years on staff at Dateline NBC, she is now a Freelance Producer for NBC News and a Media Coach.
Since leaving her full-time job at Dateline to become a mom, Jamie has earned the title of a buddy and coach to authors and experts. Her specialty is teaching how to effectively pitch the media on a tight budget.
As a Booking Producer for Dateline NBC, her daily routine included securing the most competitive interviews, fielding pitches and creating new segment ideas. She was often asked to book for the Today Show, Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, as well as MSNBC. Jamie has received several honors for her work including an Emmy Award for her participation in booking Dateline’s one-hour special on the crash of Flight 93.
Jamie’s most popular reporting is surely her continued coverage of the McCaughey Septuplets. Since 1997, she has secured and produced NBC’s exclusive annual programming on their development. In addition, Jamie has also produced specials on the McCaugheys for the Discovery Health Network. Prior to her work at Dateline NBC, she spent two years producing at the Sally Jessy Raphael Show.
Jamie has served as a guest lecturer at national conventions, as well as at colleges and high schools in the Philadelphia area.
